Session Recording
Session Recording is a method used in UX research to record a user's interaction with a product or website. It can capture things like mouse movements, clicks, scrolling, and keystrokes, and it can often be combined with audio and video recording.
Session Recordings allow researchers to see exactly what users do and how they interact with the product. They can be particularly useful for identifying usability issues, understanding user behaviour, and observing problems that users may not be aware of or able to articulate.
However, Session Recordings also have potential downsides. They can be time-consuming to analyse, and they don't provide insight into users' thoughts or motivations. It's also important to ensure that session recording is done in a way that respects user privacy and complies with relevant laws and regulations.
